Page 301. 1918. Oct. 4. The regular monthly meeting of the board of directors of the rochester public library was held in the director's room Friday evening, October 4th at 7:30. The following members of the board were present: churchill, furlow, sanford, braasch, spicer, bunge, and lawler. The minutes of the september meeting was read and approved. The librarian's monthly report for September was read. Financial report as follows: Receipts: city fines, 14.74; postal reserve, .26 = $15.00. Disbursements: express, .76; freight, 2.05; postage, 1.36; po box rent, 1.50; sundries, 1.95; telephone, 1.25 = $8.87. The following bills were read, allowed, and ordered paid: edna emerick, salary, 75.00; anna hendricks, salary, 55.00; j. weinrabe, salary, 50.00; kitty granger, salary, 2.00; library of congress, 10.00; wm. streye salary for janitor, 24.00; edna emerick, convention, 8.00; maas and mcandrews, 2.70; blakely printing co. 4.00; r. l. tollefson children's room, 276.92; dodge lumber co., coal, 229.25; foster raetz, electric lamps, 8.10; edna emerick, misc. ex., 8.87; h.h. wilson co., cumulative index, 23.00; h.s.adams books, walter hurlbut, 34.77. The meeting adjorned to next regular meeting, Mrs. T.R.Lawler, sec.
